Finished? Almost...

We're 99% there, just a few touch up items from the cabinet guys and GE but mainly from us unpacking. It looks great and we lok forward to showing it all to all of you.

Thanks, Domenic. This is Domenic Capozzi (http://www.capozziconstruction.com/). We completed on time within days of original schedule but things went off pretty much as we were told. While Domenic was the not cheapest, he was more than fair and the work was high quality and done (or re-done) until both he and we were happy. We're happy to provide referrals.

Day 44: Countertops Installed

Feeling like we are getting closer to having our kitchen! Josh & John showed up at 8:30 and had all the slabs on by 9ish. The piece for the peninsula was the biggest. Upon seeing the guys carrying it in Josie remarked, "Whoa, they're strong!" Then the epoxy and silicon process began. They used high tech version of a hair dryer to heat the joints so the epoxy sticks (or something like that). They finished 11:30 ish. Who knew it would take 3 hours!? Looks better than I hoped for. Love it!

Day 43: The Dynamic Duo?

The latest arrivals:

1. "Dual Fuel" gets its power from both gas and electricity!

2. "The Refrigerator" it cools, it freezes, it cubes or crushes ice! The filtered water is nice, too.

Their powers are new and fresh and hopefully, limitless.

Tomorrow morning the Silestone arrives.

Day 37 - lights, speakers and electricity plus Thanksgiving

Electricians here today as progess is slow but steady. The microwave/fan is so cool. It's got a touchpad control like an iphone but moves like a transformer. Cann't wait until rest of eletrical is installed so I can hook up speakers. Happy thanksgiving all as there will be no cooking here.

Kitchen Update

No posts because no progress. After they put up the plaster, they needed to let it dry. We couldn't get flooring until Monday so we sat for a few days. But they came through yesterday to paint, today supposedly they start on floor and if all goes according to plan, cabinets at end of the week. Pictures to follow.
